This is a great solution for hauling skis and snowboards yet still having access to the rear hatch of an SUV. Easier to reach than a roof-mounted box, and you don't have to pile your skis around the vehicle while loading/unloading.

Solid build quality. Looks sharp. Tilts a lot for opening rear gate. Folds up nicely for storage or driving without skis. Assembly instructions weren�t very thorough so had to reconfigure the racks a couple times. I wish the bolts associated with the rack, hitch and the tilt were pins (quick release). That said, the bolts provide a tighter fit and likely reduce the movement while driving. Of note, top of skis is about 7� above the ground so keep an eye on low garages.

The instructions for assembly were hard to figure out. Luckily, there is a video on the website and you should look at it before you try and assemble the rack. I haven't used it yet but it's cleverly designed. My only concern is that it looks like a multiple step process to remove the skis from the rack and likely you'll need to remove your gloves.

Directions are tricky. Video helps but doesn�t have the right amount of detail. Also the hitch lock is so big it doesn�t fit in the provided space on our car so we can�t use it. Aside from that it�s a good product. (so far - we�ll find out for sure on the road).
